About Us
The Director's
AWESOMEngineering was created by Charlie Tannous and
David Meyer in 2007 to expose children to the importance of
Engineering and Construction in our society.
Charlie was introduced to Erector® Sets at a very young age
and instantly loved to build different projects. Similarly, David
used Lego's® to build his fun creations. This would be just
the beginning for both of us as we would always build and fix
things with our hands.
After graduating college with Bachelor's Degree's, we wanted
to put our education to work in a positive way. Rather than
go into a typical office environment, we decided that we
wanted to teach kids the fundamentals of something we love.
By creating AWESOMEngineering, we were able to put our
Mechanical Engineering background to use and at the same
time expose kids at an early age to the basics of Engineering
and Construction.
All of our fun projects were designed by us and we designed
them to teach specific concepts. We love our job because of
the satisfaction of teaching children, plus we play with toys;
which isn't too bad either.
